This Spiky shaped pendant light is made of white translucent porcelain that shines in an amber tone. This light fixture comes with a braided cord and a matching clay ceiling plate.
The Concept:
Spikes is the outcome of exploring seam lines in porcelain casting. Usually seams are considered a problem, something to erase and cover but in translucent porcelain you just can't do it. The light going through will reveal any seam like an X ray. This lighting fixture celebrates these fault lines in a decorative way. The mold was broken into many pieces producing many seam lines and evidence of the casting process which create different thicknesses of porcelain transmitting different intensities of light.

Supplied with a 5" dia. white ceramic ceiling plate intended to be hard-wired to a junction box. Comes with the hardware needed to connect it to the electrical box.

Can be installed on a slanted ceiling.
- Shade Dimensions: 5"D x 5"W x 5.5"H
- Height: between 6" to 50" from ceiling to bottom of shade - Can be adjusted on installation. If you require a longer cord, please let us know
- Electrical components are UL registered
- Bulb: 6W dimmable LED bulb that is eight times more efficient in it's energy use than a regular incandescent, has a longer life span of 50,000 hours and a warm light color (3000K)
- 220V compatible The ceiling plate for Europe would be a bit deeper to fit the electrical connections (13cm dia. x 4cm High)

My pendants arrived today! I was anxious opening the outer box...it looked like something heavy had been set on it...(FedEx clearly paid no attention to the "fragile stickers all over the box) but the pieces were so carefully (and beautifully!) packed within that all was well. I can't wait until our kitchen reno is finished so they can be installed. They will be gorgeous.
